PROCLAIM HIM— EVEN IN OLD AGE!

So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. —Psalm 71:18

They will still bear fruit in old age… —Psalm 92:14

            Is this your desire? Are you wanting to proclaim our Lord to the next generation? As we saw in the Book of Judges “there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD or the work that he had done for Israel” (Judges 2:10). Apparently the next generation was not discipled and they turned to idolatry and wickedness. Brother and sister, how are we impacting the next generation?

            David’s desire was to have an impact on the next generation. Let this be our focus even as we age. Yes, even as we age we can still bear fruit for our Lord’s glory. This is the exciting fact about a follower of Jesus— anyone can bear fruit for Him at any age. So if you are older you cannot use age as an excuse for not bearing fruit.   Let us continue to proclaim Him until we draw our last breath.
