BLESSING
BLESSING
The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. —Numbers 6:24-26
Today may our Lord bless you in a special way. On the one hand He has blessed us greatly already. Just being able to spend time with Him is a huge blessing. He has blessed us in being able to get out of bed, to write this or to read this, to think this… Yes, He surely and definitely has already blessed us today. But I ask that He would bless you in a very special way today. May it be so!
The Lord keeps us. As the Great Shepherd that He is we can trust Him for His protection and comfort, His compassion and caring for us. Who else looks after us like He does? Who else has our best interests in mind like He does? There is none like Him… our Keeper and Sustainer.
Talk about being gracious. Look at all His favor upon us when we never have and never can deserve it. It is all bestowed upon us out of His loving benevolence. We deserved nothing from Him except Hell and yet He gives salvation from sin, death and Hell. He gives the ability to know Him today and in the future to be with Him forever in Heaven. That is grace and He is gracious to us every day… every moment of every day!
Our Lord gives us peace— “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). To have this peace is such a blessing in itself. “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:1-2). We who were once enemies of God (Romans 5:10) are now His friends (John 15:14-15). “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:4-7).
Yes, we are already truly bless by our Lord, but I ask oh Lord that You would bless each one reading this in a special way today for Your glory and their benefit. May it be so, Dear Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrdo7e9JJTY
