 OUR HEAVENLY CITIZENSHIP

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. —Philippians 3:20-21

Hey citizen of Heaven! We are strangers and pilgrims walking through this land on our way home. Let us walk faithfully for the One we represent in this land. Oh, we eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus to come back from heaven. He has authority over everything. All things are under His control. He is working out His purposes. Be faithful in those purposes He has called you to until He comes.

            These lowly bodies we have now are going to be transformed to be like His glorious Body— “Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (I John 3:2). Wow!   This is our future. Our citizenship is sealed in the blood of Christ and by God’s Holy Spirit. We are headed home. Dear Father I am so grateful that my citizenship is in heaven. Oh, I so look to be there with Jesus and all who love Him which is better by far! Help me to finish well here in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.   So be it!
