HEAVEN!
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” —Revelation 21:3-8
The wheat and tares will be separated and no tares will be in glory, only wheat. The tares “will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death” (Matthew 13:24-30). This is where “the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars” will end up.
2018 is coming to a close this day of December 30th. We are another year closer to seeing the Lord Jesus whether through death or His coming back to earth. Death will be no more… no more caskets, urns, funeral homes or graveyards. There will be no more mourning those who have died or tears of sorrow for them. There will be no more aching pain. “The old order of things” will have “passed away” and He will be “making everything new.” The Apostle John is told to “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.”
This is how it will end on planet earth— the righteous in Christ will be gathered to glory and “the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Brothers and sisters, let us renew our commitment to proclaim the gospel— “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” (Romans 10:14-15) Yes, may we do so!
Dear Father help me to proclaim the gospel even greater in this new year than any year previously that others may know Jesus. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus. So be it!
