RISEN!
Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” —John 20:24-25

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” —John 20:26-29

How many people today are saying the same thing as Thomas? — “Unless I see… I will not believe.” Jesus told Thomas “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” I have not seen Jesus and yet there is plenty of evidence for me to believe. I am blessed for being able to believe without seeing and so are you!

We live 2000 years after the cross and yet our God gives us the sight we need to see the cross and to understand what happened there. May the Lord be please to let many others we share Him with to have the sight to see who He is without having to physically needing to see Him. May it be so!

Thank You Father for giving me the sight to see Jesus and what He did at the cross. Now, may I be faithful in proclaiming Him that others may come to “see” Him as well. May this be so in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son. So be it!
