MY ROCK!

For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? —II Samuel 22:32

Really, who else is there? Who is like the Lord God Almighty? What other plan through the ages has been for the benefit of Mankind? Where is there another who has taken care of the eternal sin problem— having made remedy Himself? Is there another who has paid the penalty for every sin— past, present and future? Have you heard of another who loves us with an eternal love? What other has come and lived among those He created? Name another who has created all we see and don’t see? Is there another? No, there is not!

All other imagined god’s are dictators expecting followers to work for their salvation. This is what sets Biblical Christianity apart for all other religious systems— salvation is a gift that makes a believer blameless before God without doing anything. Then after salvation we find out that “we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10). It is out of the loving gratitude of the heart that the follow of Jesus wants to serve Him. It is a marvel when we consider Who He is and all He has saved us from. I thank You Father that Jesus is my Rock and I will not be moved because I am in Him. It is truly a Marvel as to Who You are and what You have done. Out of loving gratitude may I truly grow in my love for You and serve You in the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
