DEARLY LOVED SON

And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.” —Luke 3:22

Jesus is the Father’s one and only dearly loved Son, given on the cross as a propitiation for our sins that we might know God now and have eternal life. (John 3:16; I John 2:2; John 6:44; I John 5:11-12). The more we understand who Jesus is and what we posses in Him the more amazed we will become. When we understand more and more who we are in Jesus and what we have in the Lord Jesus then our hearts will be filled with joy in Beulah. There is rejoicing there and plenty of all that is needed. It is a pleasant place far from Giant Despair and the Valley of the Shadow of Death. Heaven is in more focus. Even the air is sweet there. Flowers bloomed every day and there was a continuing singing of birds. There is an abundance of all that is needed. Those in Beulah are the redeemed of the Lord. Heaven becomes more desirous and those there are the more eager to see the Lord Jesus.

Yes, when we grow in our understanding of our Father’s beloved Son, we also will have great joy and rejoicing and a longing to see Him. Let us bask in Beulah. May it be so.
