REJECTION OF JESUS IS AS THE WAVES OF THE RESTLESS SEA
“But those who still reject me are like the restless sea, which is never still but continually churns up mud and dirt. There is no peace for the wicked,” says my God. —Isaiah 48:22; 57:20-21
Those who reject the Lord are like this restless, churning sea which is never, ever at perfect rest— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06AJkSD0HiU. The power of agitated water is immense. Floods, tsunamis, quick moving rivers and streams or the crashing waves of the sea turn up mud and dirt. So it is with those who do not know the Lord. They turn up mud and dirt and have a negative impact on others. This happens in small and immense ways.
Walk onto any construction site and hear the mud and dirt of profanity. Of course this just does not happen on construction sites. The filthy language of the lost can be heard all around us and is like a churning wave impacting any in its path. So to it is with the actions of the lost. The American prison system bears this out which “holds more than 2.3 million people in 1,719 state prisons, 102 federal prisons, 942 juvenile correctional facilities, 3,283 local jails, and 79 Indian Country jails as well as in military prisons, immigration detention facilities, civil commitment centers, and prisons in the U.S. territories.” These are the people who have been caught for their crimes— for their mud and dirt! How many people are there walking around outside of prisons that have not been caught? http://www.prisonpolicy.org/reports/pie2016.html
We can always talk about the corrupt lost leaders in governments. They create agitation and stir up mud and dirt on anyone that they see as a threat. Yes, this world is awhirl with restless sea cesspools of sin. Man cannot fix this problem. Only Jesus can!
Those who reject Him will be restless forever, but those who trust the Prince of Peace will have peace that this world can never provide (John 16:33). Fellow follower of Jesus, rejoice in His peace! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsYyuK1w3q0 Keep your eyes on the future “sea of glass” we will experience— eternal peace with all who love Jesus (Revelation 4:6; 15:2).
Dear Father, thank You for the peace You have given me in Jesus. May I share this good news with those who do not know Jesus that they too can know Your Prince of Peace, Your Son. May it be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lay-r2g52SQ
