LOOKING FOR JESUS’ APPEARANCE

And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven—Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment. —I Thessalonians 1:10

Crowds wait for all sorts of things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oi42Y4RZ724 It could be for a sports game, a movie, a restaurant, shopping, to see a “famous” person or for a slew of other things. Are we waiting for Jesus?

Are you and I looking forward to seeing our Lord? Are we living in such a way that shows we are grateful to Him and are so looking to be with Him? Are we standing with the crowd that is anticipating His return? Oh, may that be the case!

We truly will live grateful and godly lives the more we understand what Jesus has done for us. He “has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment.” This is a message we need to get out to people. For them to reject the free gift of salvation in Jesus is to destine themselves for a terrifying eternity. Let us warn them so they too can be grateful and look forward with the crowd that is waiting for Jesus!

Dear Father, oh to be with Jesus forever in that perfect place with all who love Him is truly what I am waiting for. Please help me to live a life that reflects my desire to be with Him that others would come to Jesus and have that same desire. May this be so in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus.
