DO WHAT IS RIGHT

I work with inmates at the State Prison and I can safely say that our “justice system” here in the U.S. is not very consistent— probably true in all the world. Some judges hand down heavy sentences and some hand down light sentences for the same crime. Justice? No! Mercy? No! The judge judged incorrectly against the faith of this young couple.

May you and I be just with the decisions we have to make, extending compassion toward people. May we be thinking and acting out of our faith in God and not out of some worldly perspective that perverts justice. All of us will give an account to God. All of us will stand before Him one day… May we be faithful now and hear those words from Jesus—“Well done, good and faithful servant.” May it be so.

Dear Father, please help me to make just decisions and have compassion on people according to Your will. May all that I am and do flow from Your desires in the Holy Spirit’s power and in the precious Name of Jesus.
