I AM FORGIVEN!  MY SIN IS GONE!

Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.  Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit. —Psalm 32:1-2

 Forgiven! 

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” —Romans 10:9-13

             And our Lord will never count our sin against those who have called on His Name.  This is truly astounding and king David understood this in his very imperfect life.

“Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.  Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” Romans 4:4-8

             We who have called on Jesus are blessed!  Our sin is gone because Jesus “is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world” (I John 2:2).  Jesus has already taken care of the sin problem that leads to eternal judgment.  He did this for the whole world and so now “whoever calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved.”  Salvation can never be worked for.  There is no amount of work or any kind of work that can save us from our sin— “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).  Salvation is a gift from God to all who believe and our sin will never be counted against us.  It is gone!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jbe7OruLk8I&list=RDJbe7OruLk8I&start_radio=1
