KNOWING PEACE WITH GOD ADN THE PEACE OF GOD
KNOWING PEACE WITH GOD AND THE PEACE OF GOD
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. —Isaiah 26:3
Peace… how people desire peace in this world. May talk about “world peace.” The fact of the matter is that there will be no lasting peace until the “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6) returns. The nations of the earth will be at odds with each other just as individuals experience conflict with each other as well.
But there are a couple ways we can experience peace now. People, who are enemies of God in their sinful state (Romans 5:10), can be at “peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). Calling on Jesus to live for Him brings us into peace with God. That is our standing before God.
But we can also experience, as followers of Jesus, “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). So, we can be “at peace with God” and we can also have the “peace of God.” He keeps those who have called on Him “in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” The “peace of God” is like a military guard guarding over our hearts and our minds (Philippians 4:6-7). How does that happen?
- First, our minds are steadfast, fixed or focused on trusting in our Lord God Almighty
- Second, therefore we are not being anxious
- Third, because we are praying for His desires to be done
- Fourth, because we are bringing our needs to Him
- Firth, because we are thankful in every situation
- Sixth, we are presenting our requests to God
As a result, we then “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Are you at peace with God? If not, why not resolve that right now? — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=149s If you are at peace with God because you have called on Jesus, do you have the “peace of God?” That will only comes as you put into practice the points above. May you do so. Yes, Dear Father, may we experience this peace that only come through the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Jesus as we trust Him. May we do so and all for Your honor and glory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hTaUsgz1x4
