PRAY!

In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit. —Judges 17:6

It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another. —Psalm 75:7

When there is no leadership, things can get chaotic with everyone doing as they see fit or what is right in one’s own eyes.  Imagine a society like that where people decide what is right and wrong.  Here in the U.S. we can see how that happens even when there is leadership in place.  Godly leadership would be the answer, but that seems rare among governmental circles.  Praise our Lord for followers of Jesus, brothers and sisters in governmental positions of leadership that are seeking to make a positive impact as they serve the Lord where He has placed them.

            It is very clear that—

“first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” —I Timothy 2:1-4

Ultimately, it “is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.”  But we are encouraged to pray for whoever is in leadership.  Not only that, but we are to pray for all men.  We are told that this “pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”  So, that should be a priority prayer— that “people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”  Yes, so whether in chaotic times or calm times, let us be people of prayer as we bring “all people” before the Throne of Grace (Hebrews 4:16).  Yes, Dear Father, may we be faithful in bringing these people before You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihrUIPfvTh8
