GOD GIVES THE VICTORY

 Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.  With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies. —Psalm 60:11-12

            In any situation, it is only God who can give us the victory.  Human help is worthless.  Again, it is only with God that “we will gain the victory.”  I cannot change a person, nor can you.  I cannot change a situation, nor can you.  But with God working in us and through us, He can both change a person and any situation.

            This is where you and I need to trust Him with any person and with any situation.  God is always at work and it is true that “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).  Will I put my full trust in Him when I don’t understand why things are happening that I question?  Will I trust Him with the unanswered questions that I have?  Will I trust Him with the unresolved situations and circumstances I find myself in?

“Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.  You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.  Whom have I in heaven but you?  And earth has nothing I desire besides you.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” —Psalm 73:23-26

Yes, Dear Father, whatever victory is had in or through my life is because of You.  I acknowledge that I can do nothing that will last for eternal good without You.  May You be pleased to work in and through me by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  May this be all for Your honor and glory.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIpnW3rtRQ4
