HUNTER BIDEN PARDON IS THE PINNACLE OF HUMAN FAVORITISM AND DISCRIMINATION IN A TWO-TIERED LEGAL SYSTEM— GOD SHOWS NO SUCH FAVORITISM

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.  My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.  He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. —I John 1:8-2:2

Sin is lawlessness— a breaking of God’s law— “Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness” (I John 3:4).  As followers of Jesus we should hate sin — “To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech” (Proverbs 8:13).  “And he said to the human race, “The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.” (Job 28:28).

Unfortunately, no follower of Jesus is perfect on this planet in this age.  Oh, but to be in glory where we will never sin again!  What a joy that will be!  But until then, we need to acknowledge our sin.  Otherwise we are deceiving ourselves, the truth is not in us, we make Him a liar and His Word is not in us.  Now that is pretty serious.  But the good news is that we are to confess our sin and when we do “he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

We have been set free from the power of sin and so “Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God” (I Peter 2:16).  “My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”  The possibility (if), and probability, that the follower of Jesus will sin is stated in this verse.  But what is astounding is that Jesus “is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.”  Jesus took care of the sin problem for us, but also for every person that has ever lived— past, present and future!  For those of us who are following Jesus, we have appropriated that which Jesus has done for us— forgiveness and eternal life— relationship with Him forever!  “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).  I have and seek to live faithfully for Him.  When I sin, and it is so unfortunate, but I do and hate it— but I immediately ask for forgiveness and desire not to repeat that again.

How about you?  Have you appropriated what Jesus has done for you?  If not, why not?  Call on Him now!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=15s Dear Father, thank You for forgiveness and eternal life in Jesus.  I am so grateful.  Now, may I live faithfully for You according to Your desires by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_ZWEO36jok
