LOVINGLY OBEY GOD AND DO HIS WILL!

For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place. —Esther 4:14

But the high priest rose up, and all who were with him (that is, the party of the Sadducees), and filled with jealousy they arrested the apostles and put them in the public prison. But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.” —Acts 5:17-20

“We must obey God rather than men.” —Acts 5:29

So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” —Acts 5:38-39

            Be sure, God’s plans and purposes will come to pass.  If you and I are not willing to be lovingly and obediently part of that plan, then He will include someone else.  Our Lord God Almighty has ways to carry out what He desires and nobody can stop what He has planned to do.  So, are you willing to be and do what He desires?  Or, will He bring others to be and do what you have not been willing to carry out?

            Esther could remain silent, but if she did our Lord could bring help another way.  The Apostles were silenced by men by putting them in jail, but our Lord wanted them to speak in the temple and sent an angel to release them so they could.  Surely, “We must obey God rather than men.”  Are we obeying God?

            Yes, even the Pharisee, Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in honor by all the people, understood that if what was happening was “of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!”  They then charged the apostles, after beating them, “not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go” (Acts 5:41).

            Brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus, what our Lord God Almighty desires to do in and through you cannot be overcome by man or the gates of hell.  He will do what He desires to do through you.  Will you yield to His desires for you.  May it be so, Dear Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8Sx_U0Ztr8
