WORK WITH WORKERS TO FINISH THE WORK!
WORK WITH WORKERS TO FINISH THE WORK!
Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the LORD has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer. —Exodus 35:30-35
Our Lord not only calls a person and equips them to do the work He has called them to do, but He calls them not to work alone. Our Lord called Bezalel for the work He had for him to do and He also called Oholiab to work along with him. Not only were they two going to do the work alone, but He also inspired both Bezalel and Oholiab to teach others so they could work along with them as well. The workers would be multiplied and they would not work alone, just the two of them.
Much can be accomplished when we work in a team and then teach others to work along with us. Multiplication of the work occurs much faster with the multiplication of workers. Jesus taught this clearly when He sent out both the twelve and the seventy-two others. He told both groups that “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Matthew 9:37; Luke 10:2). Immediately after Jesus said this to both groups, He then sent them out (Matthew 10:1-5; Luke 10:1-4). Other workers would be found in the harvest!
Jesus already saw the twelve multiply into seventy-two others and now they are being sent out into the harvest to raise up more harvesters. This is how the work multiplies and will be completed. It cannot be completed if I remain alone… I have to be working with others to reach others that will also reach others until the work is done. May we be faithful in the part our Lord desires of us to be involved in His harvest. Yes, may it be so that I am both a witness and a disciple-maker doing the part You have given me until the gospel goes out to the whole world (Matthew 24:14) and disciples are made of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). Dear Father, be pleased to do this through me by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus and to encourage others to do the same. So may it be until the work is done all for Your Honor and glory! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb8WZ2ND4BY
