OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY’S PERSISTENCE AND PATIENCE
The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place. But they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD rose against his people, until there was no remedy. —II Chronicles 36:15-16

Our Lord is so patient with us— “not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9). He is patient with His church to be witnesses and disciple-makers. He is also patient with those “mocking the messengers of God.” Our Lord is persistent in sending His messengers because He is compassionate. Unfortunately, there are those who despise His Word and do not want anything to do with Him. They scoff at those messengers He sends.
But… when the time of His wrath does rise… there will be no remedy for those who hate Him and His people. It is true and He has not returned yet because “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9). Our Lord is patient with His church to carry out His directives. He is also patient with the lost. His desire is that people would turn to Him so they can live forever with Him in Heaven, that perfect place!
Here is the warning for people who do not want to listen to His messengers and live for our Lord God Almighty because of loving Him—
“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” —Revelation 20:11-15
A person can call on Jesus as Savior to save them now (Romans 10:13) or they will meet Him as Judge after death, and we are all going to die! There is no remedy for the Judge’s final and forever verdict. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw
