BEWARE OF THE COMING JUDGMENT!
But rebels and sinners shall be broken together, and those who forsake the LORD shall be consumed. —Isaiah 1:28
Enter into the rock and hide in the dust from before the terror of the LORD, and from the splendor of his majesty. The haughty looks of man shall be brought low, and the lofty pride of men shall be humbled, and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day. For the LORD of hosts has a day against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up—and it shall be brought low. —Isaiah 2:10-12
In that day mankind will… enter the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the splendor of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth. Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he? —Isaiah 2:20-22
For the look on their faces bears witness against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil on themselves. —Isaiah 3:9
Judgment is coming to this earth and all who are living in rebellion against the Lord at that time will be consumed. This judgment cannot be blamed on anyone but the rebellious themselves. Their open, wicked sin they proclaim like Sodom will bring this judgment on themselves.
When the terror of the Lord arrives, men will want to hide, but “The haughty looks of man shall be brought low, and the lofty pride of men shall be humbled, and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day. “I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” —Revelation 6:13-17
Who will be able to withstand His judgment when it comes? Nobody! Our Lord will bring judgment on all who do not want nothing to do with Him. The rebellious will have no excuses, be unable to hide their wickedness anymore, will not be able to justify themselves— their judgment has come when the “splendor of His majesty” arrives… and He is coming…
