BE BATTLE PREPARED TODAY!

BE BATTLE PREPARED TODAY!

Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit. You love evil more than good, and lying more than speaking what is right… “See the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and sought refuge in his own destruction!” —Psalm 52:2-3, 7

Listen!  There are people who plot destruction and even their speech is destructive.  Now, we are told by God that our “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).  But let us remember this as well that people need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26).  They are acting like that because they are in bondage to the devil!

The devil has people captive to do his will!  That is why they speak and plan evil.  That is why they love evil more than that which is right.  That is why they will not “make God his refuge.”  That is why they rather trust in their material possessions and wealth at any level.  That is why they are content in their “own destruction!”

Brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, this is why we are to be in constant contact with our Lord God Almighty.  We need to “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Luke 10:2).  It is only He that can direct people into the harvest field.  Oh, Lord please do so.  Send me!

Since our battle is not against flesh and blood we need to pray as Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4—

  • To be holy as our Father is.
  • For His kingdom to come.
  • For His will to be done.
  • For our daily provision.
  • For forgiveness
  • For forgiving others
  • For protection against temptation
  • For deliverance from the evil one

So let us be prayer focused.  We cannot change people, but God can.  Remember, Saul, before he became the Apostle Paul, “was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, (he) was shown mercy because (he) acted in ignorance and unbelief” (I Timothy 1:13).  So, God can change anyone.  Who would have thought, at the time of Saul, that God would change him from being a blasphemer of the truth to be a great proclaimer of the Truth.  But He did!  So, let us pray!

Dear Father, Jesus taught us to pray and I expect since He taught us to pray that You will answer.  So I ask that Your kingdom come and show me who to encourage toward it today.  I pray that You will would be done in and through my life today and that You would be please to resource me as needed.  I also ask forgiveness that I would be in fellowship with You and keep me from temptation and from the adversary.  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, so be it!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=johgSkNj3-A
