BE TRANSFORMED, NOT CONFORMED TO MAKE GENERATIONAL IMPACT
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. —Romans 12:1-3
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. —Romans 12:11
Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it! —Psalm 22:30-31
Brothers and sisters, fellow followers/disciples of Jesus, as we live for God, as we worship Him—
- It is because of God’s mercy
- We are not to conform to the pattern of this world
- We are to be transformed by a renewing of our minds
- We are to test what God’s will is
- We are to approve what God’s will is
- We will know His good will
- We will know His pleasing will
- We will know His perfect will
- We are to serve in His grace
- We are not to think of ourselves more highly than we ought to
- We are to think of ourselves with sober judgment
- We are to think of ourselves in accordance with the faith God has given us
- We are not to be lacking in zeal
- We are to keep our spiritual fervor
As we are faithful, there will be generational impact— “Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!” So, how we live for our Lord today can affect many in the generations to come. May it be so, Dear Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.
