IMPACTING TO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS!

Showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. —Deuteronomy 5:10

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. —Deuteronomy 6:4-9

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives. —Proverbs 11:30

Think about this— Each follower of Jesus, if they could trace their spiritual genealogy, would find that their line goes all the way back to one of the Apostles.  Now, think of a tree upside down.  The trunk would be one of the Apostles, the one you came from 2000 years ago!  Ever since that Apostle lived there have been faithful followers of Jesus that branched out, that branched out, that branched out all the way to the person who shared the gospel with you.  As you ponder that upside down spiritual heritage tree from that Apostle, how will that tree continue to branch out from you?  If you are sharing the gospel, then branches will continue toward the end of the age.  If you are not being obedient in sharing the gospel and making disciples, you will be a dry branch that will end with you.

Faithful, obedient followers of Jesus will share the love of God shown in Jesus and that could continue to be passed on by other faithful, obedient followers “to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.”  This begins with our family.  First, you are to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”  Then you are to “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-40).  If you are able to love yourself, then you will not be able to love others.  Faithfulness begins with your relationship with God, your relationship with yourself and your relationship with others.

Your family is your first line of ministry!  His Word is “to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”  Following Jesus is a lifestyle and not a compartment of our lives.  Sharing the gospel/making disciples is also a lifestyle and not just a compartment of our lives.  Jesus has given us “life, and have it to the full.”  We have great purpose and potential in Jesus as we follow Him lovingly, faithfully and obediently.  In doing so, we could reach multitudes of generations after us right down to the end of the age!  Be faithful!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2q9UbaBHzI&list=RDu2q9UbaBHzI&start_radio=1

Dear Father, may it be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus and all for Your honor and glory.
