BE A REFRESHING SERVANT
One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. —Proverbs 11:24-25
We do not give to get, but so often when we are generous, our Lord is generous to us. It may just be that a person who is not generous may find that what he has decreases. Truly, a generous person will prosper. It may be a prosperity that is not material, although that may be the case, but the prospering may be in the refreshing of others. That can happen in many ways and not just with material generosity.
