LIVE HUMBLY

Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth. —Numbers 12:3

“Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!” —Psalm 52:7

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.  The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. —Proverbs 11:2-3

             Moses…

  • Was a very humble man
  • Was more humble than anyone else on earth
  • Made God his stronghold
  • Trusted God more than wealth
  • Grew strong by building up others
  • Was not disgraced
  • Was wise
  • Had integrity
  • Was faithful
  • Was honest

These are some character qualities of one who is truly humble.  Moses had a proper perspective on who he was.  Humbleness is to “not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you” (Romans 12:3).  Humbleness will also “value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others” (Philippians 2:3-4).  Moses had all Egypt had to offer and yet “He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin” (Hebrews 11:25).

So, what kind of a person are you and I?  May we strive to live humble lives!  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sU8MAQKSbEI&list=RDsU8MAQKSbEI&start_radio=1
