THE END DRAWS CLOSER— PROCLAIM HIS NAME!

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. —Matthew 24:12

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.  “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— Matthew 24:14-15

             Know that the end is near when there is an increase in wickedness and the love of most will grow cold.  Another indicator is that the “gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”  Still, another unmistakable sign is “when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand…”  We are also told of this in II Thessalonians 2:1-4

“Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to Him, we ask you, brothers, not to be easily disconcerted or alarmed by any spirit or message or letter seeming to be from us, alleging that the Day of the Lord has already come. Let no one deceive you in any way, for it will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness—the son of destruction—is revealed. He will oppose and exalt himself above every so-called god or object of worship. So he will seat himself in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.”

“Greetings disciple makers. Humanity remains lost either due to their nature or carelessness of the church.  First priority in DMM is helping the lost be restored back to their rightful owner – God.  ‘What man among you who has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the pasture and go after the lost one until he finds it?  Or what woman who has ten pieces of silver and loses one piece, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?’” —Luke 15:4, 8

Here is a true statement concerning the return of Jesus and may we be faithful to reach the lost! — “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9).  He is patient with His church to finish the mission He has given her!  As our world winds down into the darkness of wickedness, let us, fellow followers/disciples of Jesus, proclaim the good news of Jesus to those around us.  So many have never heard!

Yesterday, while at the gym, I was talking with Zach who is 19 years old.  I said, “Could I ask you a question??  He said, “Sure.”  I said, “Actually, there are three questions— Where did you come from?  What is your purpose in life?  Where are you going after death.”  We had a good conversation and I left him something to read on his own.  But when I asked him if anyone ever talked with him about these things, he said, “No.”  There are so many around us like Zach.  Nobody has ever talked with them and shared the good news of Jesus with them.  As the end of the age gets closer, however close we are, let us be faithful to share the good news of Jesus.
