NEVER ALONE IN OUR DIFFICULTIES

NEVER ALONE IN OUR DIFFICULTIES

The Lord works out everything to its proper end even the wicked for a day of disaster. —-Proverbs 16:4

The human spirit can endure in sickness, but a crushed spirit who can bear? —Proverbs 18:14

Here is a basic truth that we need to understand or we could be discouraged… or worse… — “The Lord works out everything to its proper end.”  Do we understand that?  Do we believe that?  He works out EVERYTHING to its proper end… EVERYTHING!  He says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).  We know what the truth of this says, but do we really believe what it says— “WE KNOW that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”  Do we really know this and trust Him for this?

Recently, a brother and friend told me about a book his 6th grader grandson had written on bullying.  He had been bullied and so wrote this from experience.  What good can come out of bullying?  How would/will our Lord work out being bullied to its “proper end?”  How will He in this thing work it out for good?  For starters, this book reveals how this 6th grader handled being bullied and will encourage others who are being bullied and maybe even impact bullies! https://patch.com/connecticut/farmington/farmington-sixth-grader-wrote-book-coping-bullies  https://www.amazon.com/s?k=never+alone+caleb+rand&crid=3ALVABZKIVKYX&sprefix=caleb+Rand%2Caps%2C183&ref=nb_sb_ss_p13n-pd-dpltr-ranker_1_10

It is amazing how our Lord has created us to handle sicknesses— “The human spirit can endure in sickness.”  I have not been through much sickness, but what I have been through took “endurance.”  But I have seen others go through great difficulty and endure right to the end of life.  Yes, it is amazing how our Lord has created us.

On the other hand, “a crushed spirit who can bear?”  Someone who has a crushed spirit may lose all hope.  They can be in a very dark place with no sense of escape… except by taking one’s own life to stop the pain.  How greatly unfortunate that many do commit suicide to escape bullies.

In the book my friend’s grandson wrote, “Never Alone”, he sees his hope in God who is always there and always loves Him.  May we understand this as well.  Yes, Dear Father, may we trust You in sickness and when our spirits my be “crushed.”  May this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow4OfW4DP9s
