TAKE ADVICE!
TAKE ADVICE!
Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice. —Proverbs 13:10
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people. —Proverbs 14:34
Mockers resent correction, so they avoid the wise. —Proverbs 15:12
The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. —Psalm 2:2-4
Those who are prideful or arrogant think they know it all and will bring conflict to a conversation. On the other hand, the wise will be open to and take advice. Interesting how mockers will avoid the wise because they do not want to take advice or be corrected. Oh, that I would take advice and seek to grow in understanding.
Nations would be better off if their leaders surround themselves with wise people who themselves are open to advice as well as the leader. None of us know everything and we need the input from those who have wisdom in various areas. Oh, that our leaders would be open to this… and may we be as well.
A nation’s sin is self-condemning and unwise. Oh, that we would hear our Lord’s correction and take His advice! Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0sV6WiUCaI
