FEAR THE LORD!
FEAR THE LORD!
And he said to the human race, “The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.” —Job 28:28
The fear of the Lord—
- Is wisdom
- Is to shun evil
- Is understanding
- Is to discover the knowledge of God
- Is instructed by wisdom
- Is humility
- Is to hate evil
- Is to hate arrogant pride
- Is to hate evil conduct
- Is to hate perverse speech
So, do I truly “fear the Lord?” Do you truly “fear the Lord?” It begins with the heart— who we truly are on the inside. And that which is on the inside will make its way outward and that is what people will see. But “God, who knows the heart… knows your hearts” (Acts 15:8; Luke 16:15). “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account” (Hebrews 4:12-13). Yes, God knows what our thoughts are toward Him and how we truly believe…
Dear Father, I do desire to be faithful to You and all that means for what You have in my life. As You guide me, may I follow. Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJMRA3Hv0oM
