BE FAITHFULLY IMPACTFUL

BE FAITHFULLY IMPACTFUL

The faithful have been swept from the land; not one upright person remains.  Everyone lies in wait to shed blood; they hunt each other with nets.  Both hands are skilled in doing evil; the ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire— they all conspire together.  The best of them is like a brier, the most upright worse than a thorn hedge. —Micah 7:2-4

Beware when “The faithful have been swept from the land.”  What will the land look like if this happens?  We are told that—

  • People lie in wait to shed blood
  • People hunt each other with nets
  • People’s hands are skilled at doing evil
  • People’s rulers demand gifts
  • People’s judges accept bribes
  • People that are powerful dictate what they desire
  • People conspire together
  • People that are considered best are like a brier
  • People considered most upright are worse than a thorn hedge

That is not a very good picture.  The faithful followers of Jesus are to have a positive impact on society by the way they live.  Oh, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  May we who follow Him seek the best for our society.  Yes, may this be so.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSAN5ObaRQg
