YOUR TIME IS SHORT!

My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.  But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations. —Psalm 102:11-12

In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.  They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.  Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.  But you remain the same, and your years will never end. —Psalm 102:25-27

            Tell a young person that their “days are like the evening shadow?” and they “wither away like grass.”  They rarely consider this in their youth, but mention me, now that I am 70 years old and others that are racing toward their life’s end on this planet and they will take you more seriously.  Shadows and grass don’t last very long and neither do our lives.  Yet God has given us the time we need.  Let us use it according to His will and purposes.

            What a joy to serve Him, and one day to be with Him, who is “enthroned forever” and His “renown endures through all generations.”  Yes, it is true, even though many do not believe it, but “In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.  They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.  Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.  But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”  Not only do our individual lives not last very long, but neither will the existence of this creation last very long.  Not when compared to eternity.  But our Lord God Almighty is eternal and He offers eternal life with Him for all who call on His Name— Romans 10:13; John 3:16).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=2s
