REST IN HIM!

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.  Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken…  Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.  Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. —Psalm 62:1-2, 5-6

            It is so wonderful to have rest in God from where my salvation comes from.  He cannot be moved.  He is my stability in life.  He is my protection and I will never be shaken because of Him.  Truly, brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus, since “we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:28-29).  So yes, we can rest in God for our hope comes from Him. 

            The day is coming when—

“Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain” (Hebrews 12:26-27).

            I am so glad to be part of what cannot be shaken.  This is so comforting, so encouraging and I look forward to that day.  Until then, yes, I will rest in Him.  Thank You, Dear Father for the rest You have given me by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  I am eternally grateful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW1gh15yxaY
