JESUS NEVER FAILS!

Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me. —Psalms 41:9

All my intimate friends detest me; those I love have turned against me. —Job 19:19

            When those you love turn on you it is so painful.  Close friends, those you have trusted, those you have shared meals with in their homes and in your homes, when they turn against you is a hard part of life.  There are those who were once intimate friends who now feel like strangers, betrayers…  When this happens it would be easy to close up and not trust anyone, but that is a misunderstanding of the world we live in.  Unfortunately, every relationship will fail us to some degree and we will fail others to some degree.  But that doesn’t deny the pain that occurs when relational conflict happens.  We can stuff it, deny it or we can just accept that will, unfortunately happen in this fallen world— even among those who profess the Name of Jesus.

            I am so grateful that the love of God shown through Jesus never fails.  He will never fail me, though I fail Him.  He is One who “who sticks closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24) and I can always, 100% of the time, depend on Him.  And for that, Dear Father, I am eternally grateful.  May I live out that gratitude by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, so may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgQ6vWEhH5E
