THE WORK IS DONE
THE WORK IS DONE
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. —I John 2:2
And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. —I John 2:17
This is truly astounding— Jesus not only “is the propitiation for our sins… but also for the sins of the whole world.” Jesus satisfied the wrath of God against us and now “Whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13) from God’s judgment. “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life” (John 5:24). The work on the cross has been done and our Lord is “not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9).
Even though the work is done and forgiveness of sin and salvation in Jesus is possible for anyone who calls on His Name— a person has to call on His Name to appropriate what He has done for them. If I am in deep water and eventually will down, I need help. If a boat arrives, then I have a decision to make. I can get on the boat and be saved, or I can stay in the deep water, eventually tire, sink, and drown. Jesus is our Savior. A person can either call on His Name and be saved or they can go down and drown in eternal judgment. I hope and pray that if you are reading this and have not called on Jesus to be saved, then you will before you die and face eternal judgment— https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk&t=85s
Dear Father, if there are any who are reading this and have yet to call on Jesus, may You draw them to call on His Name now by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. Yes, so may it be for Your honor and glory. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUxI-ynsTnM
