PRAISE OUR LORD!

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts! Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars! Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD! For he commanded and they were created. And he established them forever and ever; he gave a decree, and it shall not pass away.  Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps, fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word!  Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars!  Beasts and all livestock, creeping things and flying birds!  Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth!  Young men and maidens together, old men and children!  Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.  He has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his saints, for the people of Israel who are near to him. Praise the LORD! —Psalm 148

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD! —Palms 146:6

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse” (Romans 1:20).

            There is no excuse for not believing in our Lord God Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of all things! (Colossians 1:16, 17).  You have to be blind not to believe.  But, of course, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (II Corinthians 4:4). It will “God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” (to make) his light shine in (their) hearts to give (them) the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ” (II Corinthians 4:6).

            Look at what praises our Lord—

• Praise comes from the earth
• Praise comes from the great sea creatures
• Praise comes from fire

• Praise comes from mist
• Praise comes from stormy wind
• Praise comes from the mountains
• Praise comes from the hills
• Praise comes from fruit trees
• Praise comes from the cedars
• Praise comes from the beasts
• Praise comes from the livestock
• Praise comes from creeping things
• Praise comes from flying birds
• Praise comes from kings
• Praise comes from peoples
• Praise comes from princes
• Praise comes from rulers
• Praise comes from young men
• Praise comes from young maidens
• Praise comes from old men
• Praise comes from children
