Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways! You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD. —Psalms 128:1-4
Every person who “fears the Lord” —
- Will walk in His ways
- Will eat of the labor of their hands
- Will be blessed
- Will be well with them
- Will have a wife like a fruitful vine
- Will have children like olive shoots
This is my desire… to walk in His ways, to love Him, to honor Him, to do His will and to be the person He desires me to be. Yes, that is my desire. I seek to honor Him in the work that I do and trust His favor upon me. As I follow Him it has certainly been well with me. My wife, Elaine, is so fruitful and our adult children have sprouted and flourished. Our greatest desire for them, as they walk in this world, is to be a faithful follower of Jesus. That is what is most important. When a person puts Jesus first, then everything else will fall into place according to His purposes… not our own. And it will be well…
