I TRUST MY LORD TO HELP ME!

Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth. —Psalms 124:8

Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. —Psalms 127:1

            Now that is a plain statement of fact— “Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”  Do you acknowledge this or are you going about trying to live in your own strength?  Not sure about you, but I want the help of Him who created heaven and earth.  Now that is real power, real authority. 

If I am not listening to the Lord but seeking to build my own house with my own labor, then I will be like the builder in Matthew 7:26-27.  Truly, my own labor will be in vain!

“But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

            So, who do you want laboring to build your house?  Your answer will determine whether your house is being built in vain or not.  Oh, that you and I would trust in the Lord who made heaven and earth.  May we trust Him to build our house.  If we do, then it will stand.  If we do not, then we are building in vain and that will only lead to eventual destruction… forever…

Dear Father, may I trust You to build my house.  Oh, that I would not seek to be building on my own.  May I yield to Your building of my house by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  Yes, may this be so! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sgfoGoBhC8
