THE ETERNALLY IMPORTANT GIFT OF GOD— HIS SON!

THE ETERNALLY IMPORTANT GIFT OF GOD— HIS SON!

But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. —Romans 3:21-26

The righteousness of God.  None can be saved from their sin without it.  None can go to heaven without it.  All are sinners and that sin keeps a person separated from God and if they die in that condition, they will be separated from God forever… forever!  Oh, brother and sister, fellow followers of Jesus, please ask God to help you, to open up doors for you to share the good news of Jesus with those around you!  They will perish if they do not respond to Jesus.

God has shown mankind how He can become righteous.  It is not by our own works, but the Law and Prophets bore witness and were pointing forward to the One who could make us righteous.  Now that Jesus has come and when on that cross He said, “It is finished” (John 19:30), that is when the summary of all the Law and Prophets took place.  Jesus became the propitiation, the atoning sacrifice, the sacrifice that pleased God.  Now whenever someone calls on Jesus by faith, trusting Him to save them, God gives that person His righteousness.  Listen to what has been called “The Great Exchange” verse— “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (II Corinthians 5:21).

Listen to what God has done for you and me and the world.  Do not take this lightly.  Your eternal destiny rests in whether you have applied this verse— applied = knowing God now and be with Him forever in heaven.  Not applied = being separated from Him forever in hell.  Those are the only two options and Jesus is the only way to be saved from sin (John 14:6; Acts 4:12).  For those who call on Jesus— He takes away our sin forever and gives us His righteousness forever!  Wow!

What is truly amazing is that the work of Jesus on the cross is that “He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world” (I John 2:2).  The work is done for any person to get right with God.  “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).  As followers of Jesus, let us rejoice in the wondrous joy we have in Jesus because of all He has done for us!  If you are reading this today and have not called on Jesus to save you, do so now… please… for your sake and the sake of others— come into relationship with God through Jesus! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw

Please, Dear Father, draw those to Jesus who are reading this who do not know Him yet.  Yes, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son, Jesus.  And, Dear Father, for those of us who have called on Jesus, may we have hearts filled with gratitude and share Jesus with others.  Yes, may this be so!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqWYSyDZYIg
