HE REIGNS

HE REIGNS

For not in my bow do I trust, nor can my sword save me. —Psalm 44:6

In God we have boasted continually, and we will give thanks to your name forever. —Psalm 44:8

Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness; you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. —Psalm 45:6-7

Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! —Psalm 46:10

Do we put our trust in the reign of men with their military power available to them?  The reign of men is temporal and feeble when compared to the reign of our Lord.  The reign of men so often includes wickedness as they selfishly use those they rule for their own purposes.  They do not usually have the best in mind for those they claim to “serve.”  No, too often reigning men, people in power positions of authority, milk the people and line their own pockets.  In the U.S., think of all the politicians that become multi-millionaires when in office or make millions more while being in office.  How does that happen?  Corruption— we live in a corrupt world.  Men are naturally corrupt.

No, I will trust in the reign of Our Lord for His kingdom is founded upon righteousness.  He hates wickedness.  It is man that surpasses the Truth by their wickedness (Romans 1:18).  So, beware!  Our Lord’s reign is not temporal, it is eternal.  Let us be still and know that He is God and that He will be exalted among the nations.  He will be exalted in the earth.  Let us rejoice, brothers and sisters, fellow followers of Jesus, that we know Jesus and have eternity ahead to be with Him and with all who love Him.  Hallelujah!  Forever with Jesus where only righteousness will reign.  Even so come, Lord Jesus (Revelation 22:20).

So, let us boast in the Lord Jesus and give thanks to Him!  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKTqwBetI1I

“Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them” (Hebrews 2:8).  Oh, but the time is coming when He will reign over all— “The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.” —Revelation 11:15 Amen!
