MANY THINK THEY KNOW BETTER THAN OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said: “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Dress for action like a man; I will question you, and you make it known to me. “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. —Job 38:1-4

And the LORD said to Job: “Shall a faultfinder contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.” Then Job answered the LORD and said: “Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. I have spoken once, and I will not answer; twice, but I will proceed no further.” —Job 40:1-5

Job was wrong in many ways as he responded out of his grief.  There are many on this planet that speak wrongly about their circumstances and wrongly about our Lord and His ways.  Much we do not know and we need to acknowledge that, but “these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).  Just remember that “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law” (Deuteronomy 29:29).

Today, so many people, as in the past, try to explain their circumstances or the circumstances of the world without the proper perspective of who our Lord is and His revealed Word to us.  Instead, they try to explain things by their own imagination, the twisting of information or from satanically motivated ideas and need to “come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26).

Any person, like Job, so often “darkens counsel by words without knowledge?”  They need to hear the Word of God to be corrected and humbled.  This is what happen to Job when our Lord asked Job a series of questions.  Job’s reaction when God said to him— “Shall a faultfinder contend with the Almighty?” —was “Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. I have spoken once, and I will not answer; twice, but I will proceed no further.”  We need to have a proper perspective on who we are as individuals.  We are “of small account” and yet so many times people seek to make themselves greater than they are from the Lord’s perspective.

An illustration:  A New Age practicing person standing on the ocean’s beach lifts us their voice and says, “I’m god, I’m go.”  In heaven, the angel Gabriel says to Peter, “Peter take a look at this” as he points down to the beach.  Peter looks, listens, shakes his head “no” and says, “They do not have a clue.”

And so it is with man.  The majority of people want to be the “god” of their own lives.  Yet, in reality, they are clueless about who our Lord is.  What to know Him?  Start with the Gospel of John and when you get to the twentieth chapter you will read— “these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).  If you are earnestly wanting to know the truth, you will by the time you reach that chapter.  Dear Father, may those reading this read the Gospel of John and come to know who Jesus is and call on His Name to be saved.  Yes, so may it be by the power of Your Holy Spirit and on the authority of Your Son Jesus! https://biblehub.com/niv/john/1.htm  https://live.bible.is/bible/ENGESV/JHN/1  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcmqSfr1ENY
