In past generations he allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways. Yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness. —Acts 14:16-17
God has given us so many evidences of His existence. It is He who brings about storms for His purposes. Storms “turn around and around by his guidance, to accomplish all that he commands them on the face of the habitable world. Whether for correction or for his land or for love, he causes it to happen.”
Check the weather outside right now. This weather at the moment we are experiencing is because of Him. This happens 24/7 as He is the only true Weatherman. He does not “predict” or “forecast” the weather, He makes the weather to accomplish His purposes and some of those purposes for the weather are—
- To accomplish all his commands on the habitable earth
- To bring correction
- To water the earth
- To show His love
- To give the gift of rain
- To give fruitful seasons
- To satisfy you with food
- To satisfy you with gladness
Yes, our Lord has given us many evidences of His existence and yet people deny Him even when it is obvious that His existence only could create all this. Then, not only did God give us creation so we don’t have an excuse not to believe (Romans 1:20), but He has also given us His Word and “Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:30-31).
God has given us creation, His Word and finally, He has given us His Son— “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). So man has no reason not to believe. Dear Father, be please to impact people, as You have me and multitudes of others with Your creation, Your Word and Your Son. Yes, may many, many more people call on Jesus to be saved from their sin and to a relationship with You through Him.
