WALK THROUGH THE OPEN DOOR!

For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan for you until you passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up for us until we passed over,  so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever.” —Joshua 4:23-24

 And the LORD said to Joshua, “See, I have given Jericho into your hand… —Joshua 6:2

And at the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Shout, for the LORD has given you the city. —Joshua 6:16

So the LORD was with Joshua, and his fame was in all the land. —Joshua 6:27

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” —Luke 2:14

            As followers of Jesus we know that what door He opens no man can close and what door He closes no man can open.  We have a peace that only He can give.  The world cannot give it.  People can seek peace through jobs, leisure, money, fame… but they do not, nor can they, bring the peace that only our Lord God Almighty can bring.  Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27).

            So what is our Lord giving into your hand?  Trust Him to guide you.  He opened the Red Sea for His people to walk through on dry ground and held the Jordan River back for them to cross over on dry ground as well.  These both were done so “the earth may know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever.”  So, brother and sister, fellow followers of Jesus, take heart.  What He has done in the past is to encourage us in the present.  Our Lord is with us and He will give us whatever He desires.  Be faithful and follow Him into the water on the dry ground He provides and guides!  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QANH8MWuyaE&list=RDQANH8MWuyaE&start_radio=1
