JESUS OUR PASSOVER LAMB!

JESUS OUR PASSOVER LAMB!

So Moses told the people of Israel that they should keep the Passover. —Numbers 9:4

No one had the strength to subdue him. —Mark 5:4

And crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment me.” For he was saying to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!” —Mark 5:7-8

The Passover… What a wonderful picture of protection, rescue and deliverance.  The blood of the Lamb applied to the door protected those inside from judgment.  The judgment and protection brought rescue and delivered the Israelites, and any others that desired to go with them, from Egypt to head toward the Promised Land.

Jesus celebrated the Passover with His disciples, but He fulfilled it and gave it new meaning.  He was/is the Passover Lamb.  It is by His blood applied to our lives that rescues and protects us from eternal judgment.  It is through His life that we are rescued out of this world’s system, the kingdom of darkness and are placed in His kingdom, the kingdom of light (I Peter 1:18-20; Colossians 1:12-13; Ephesians chapter 2).

Every person who has ever lived is like the man who nobody “had the strength to subdue him.”  No man can rescue a man like that… and all people need to repent, turn from their own ways and follow God’s ways, which leads “to a knowledge of the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will” (II Timothy 2:25-26).  All people are in the “snare of the devil” and are held captive to do his will.”  It might not “look” like the demon possessed man mentioned above, but it is true just the same.  If you have not called on Jesus, then you are Satan’s captive doing his will.

Just as the demon possessed man was rescued by Jesus, so He can rescue any who desire to be rescued from the devil’s snare and captivity and doing his will.  “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).  And, no, you are not “good enough” without Jesus.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYZw0dfLmLk

Thank You, Dear Father, for Jesus being our Passover Lamb who protects us from judgment, rescued us from sin, Satan and eternal death, then delivered us to eternal life forever with Him in glory/heaven.  Now, out of eternal gratitude, may we live faithfully for You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=6s   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QANH8MWuyaE
