All that God does and makes He says is good, very good. He said this about the light and darkness— day 1 of His creating. He said this about separating the waters above and below and created sky— day 2 of His creating. He said this about separating the water and dry land, creating oceans and bringing forth vegetation— day 3 of His creating. He said this about the sun, moon and stars— day 4 of His creating. He said this about the fish, fowl and sea creatures— day 5 of His creating. He said this about land animals and man— day 6 of His creating. He said this about resting— day 7 His creating finished. As you consider this. Is not all this very good?
Of course, it is! God also created marriage between Adam and Eve— a man and a woman. This also is God’s creation and it also is very good. So many would say yes to all God’s creation being good… until they get to this creation of God— marriage between one man and one woman. So many are against His design for marriage which means they are against Him. Sad…
About 4,000 years after creation, God’s plan was to have Jesus be born of Mary, supernaturally directed by God’s Holy Spirit. His plan was that Jesus would “save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). This creative plan of God is also very good. Of Jesus God said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). All that God does is good. He cannot do anything wrong. His nature is only good.
Again, not all would agree that the birth of Jesus is good or that Jesus is good or that God is good. The evidence all around us proves them wrong. But some people do not want to go by the evidence. Some people just don’t want to know the Truth, accept the Truth and live according to the Truth. They would rather do what is not good and live according to their own heart’s desire which is in “the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26). Oh, “that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth” (II Timothy 2:25). Yes, may this be so that they would truly know that everything God does is very good! Man is the one who corrupts everything as they do their heart’s desire…
