YOU ARE EITHER RIGHTEOUS OR WICKED

YOU ARE EITHER RIGHTEOUS OR WICKED

But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. —I John 3:17-18

The wicked borrows but does not pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives. —Psalm 37:21

These verses above are very clear.  The wicked— they borrow and there is nothing wrong with that.  But, they do not repay what they borrowed and shows they are wicked.  They are actually thieves—stealing and using what is another’s for their personal gain.  That is plain evil.  Look at our U.S. government.  According to these verses it is wicked.  It is plain evil to be taking taxpayers money without any intention of paying back what they have borrow and the amount of waste that is being spent just on the debt is atrocious.  These government workers applying the same evil practices in the public sector would never last.  Only in the government can wicked, evil people get away with this, but they shouldn’t get away with it.

We cannot depend on the government to help those brothers and sisters in the body of Christ that have need.  We, as followers of Jesus. are to do that! —“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6:10).  Actually, “But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?”  So yes, if we see some other believer that has a need and we can help, we are to help.  It is lovelessness if we do not!  People can talk all they want about love, but love is not known until there is action.  What action are we taking to show the love of God and love of people?

We are told about the righteous that— They are generous.  Are you and I generous with what our Lord has given to us?  We are told that the generous give.  Are you and I givers?  May that be so, Dear Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus to bring honor and glory to You and not to ourselves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYHpJnfy2lQ
