GOD’S WORD IS FULLY TRUSTWORTHY

“All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you. —I Peter 1:24-25

            Grass withers and dies.  So too, the flowers fall.  We especially see that happen at this time of the year in New Hampshire.  The grass was green and flourishing this summer, but not now.  The flowers were out in bloom, but not now.  Few leaves cling to their branches.  The seasons pass so quickly.  Our lives are like that as well.  We are only here for a short time, regardless of the number of years we live.  Compared to eternity, life here is so brief

            But God’s Word never withers or falls, nor does it ever fail.  What He says will always be true.  What He says will always come to pass.  We surely can trust fully in the Word of God.  His Word is the only Word we can trust 100% of the time!  So, His Word we share, whether now or at any time, is good news.  May receive it as such.  We can fully trust what God has to say.  So, let’s do that— trust what He says.

Yes, Dear Father, may I trust Your Word whether I “feel” like it or not.  I know Your Word is Truth and my desire is to live according to Your Truth.  Really though, I look forward to being in glory with Jesus and all who love Him so we will not be in this spiritual warfare any longer.  Yes, I look forward to that time.  But until then, may I run the race with perseverance that You have marked out for me.  May I keep my eyes focused on Jesus by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zaaiFp4RSM
