THE LOST ARE IN SATAN’S CLUTCHES TO DO HIS WILL
In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, “There is no God.” —Psalm 10:4
The helpless are crushed, sink down, and fall by his might. He says in his heart, “God has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it.” Psalm 10:10-11

It is a great question— Why does the wicked renounce God and say in his heart, “You will not call to account”? The answer is because sinful man desires to be the god of their own life, the captain of their own ship, the decider of their destiny and they think God will not call them into account. They think they are in control. They are absolutely wrong!
In their wickedness of self-promotion, “The helpless are crushed, sink down, and fall by his might. He says in his heart, “God has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it.” Oh, but again, the wicked are utterly and completely wrong! There is coming a day when, regardless of what they think, they will be held accountable by the Lord God Almighty. There is no escaping that day! Man’s natural inclination is away from God and to be rebellious toward Him. Unless man comes to his senses he cannot “escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26). Lost people are bound up by Satan and unless “God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ [makes] his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ,” then there is no escape from the Evil One. So, brother and sister, fellow follower of Jesus, let us be praying for those lost ones around us that God will, indeed, shine His light into their hearts so they can escape from doing the Devil’s will and do God’s will!
