GOD’S LOVING FAITHFULNESS TOWARD US

For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! —Psalm 108:4-5

            I am so glad that our Lord God’s love is steadfast and does not waver when I mess up.  When your child fails, do you love him or her less?  Of courses not.  Steadfast love is not moved by anything.  Yes, I am so glad that our Lord’s love great and steadfast— unshakable, stubborn, resolute.  Not like some people, unfortunately, that say they love you but jump ship when something does not go their way.  That is not steadfast love… that is fair weathered friends…

            God is not like man— He is faithful 100% of the time.  Let us not expect of man what only God can be.  All relationships that we have will fail us at one time or another.  We also will fail others at one time or another.  But failure should not affect the love one has for us or we have for others.  Everyone is going to fail as some point and in various ways.  That should not impact our love for them or their love me me… it shouldn’t…

            Oh, that we would exalt our Lord God Almighty for His how great His steadfast love is.  May we exalt Him as well for His far-reaching faithfulness toward us.  Oh, that we would have human relationships that pattern after Him and that I would have that type of relationship with others.  “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14).  Yes, we who relish in Your loving faithfulness, let us share this with those around us until “this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).  Yes, Dear Father, may this be so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of your Son Jesus as He commanded us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYSyt6uOGyA
