I NEED NOT FEAR!

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?…  Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. —Psalm 27:1, 14

            “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”  Jesus IS my Light and Jesus IS my salvation.  Without Him I would still be walking in darkness.  I would still be blinded by the god of this world— Satan himself (II Corinthians 4:4).  But God said, ‘“Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ” (II Corinthians 4:6) and “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).  My Lord God Almighty is the One who did this and so He “is my light and my salvation—- whom shall I fear?”  I need not fear anyone or anything.  “The Lord is the stronghold of my life” and it was He who brought Light into my life. 

            What is going on in your life?  Or, whatever may happen in your life… “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”  He knows all about your situation you are presently in or will be in.  Trials and tribulations will come in one form or another (John 16:33).  Satan would use them to knock us down, but our Lord actually desires to work through them to build us up (James 1:2-8).  So… who will we depend on?  I will wait on the Lord.  I will depend on Him because He, and only He, is 100% dependable! 

Yes, Dear Father, whatever may come my way, let me wait on You and depend on You.  Nothing in all creation can separate me from You.  So may I live by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Precious Son Jesus.  So may it be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0gu0nOaFsI
