FOREVER SAFE IN JESUS!

FOREVER SAFE IN JESUS!

This becomes even more evident when another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek, who has become a priest, not on the basis of a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by the power of an indestructible life. —Hebrews 7:15-16

This makes Jesus the guarantor of a better covenant. The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself.  —Hebrews 7:22-27

Jesus is our High Priest forever because of His indestructible life!  He is the guarantor of a new covenant, a better covenant.  Jesus continues forever and “is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.”  For those who have called on Jesus to save us (Romans 10:13), we are safe in His hands… forever (John 10:27-28). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD6khv6pGkw&t=5s

Just think about that… Jesus is interceding for us to this very day and will for the rest of our lives!  We are also told that God’s Holy Spirit intercedes for us as well— “And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God” (Romans 8:27).  The Son of God and the Spirit of God are praying for us!  Wow!  For we who have drawn near to God through Jesus, we are saved completely forever through Jesus!  Halleluiah!

Jesus, our High Priest, is “holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.”  Jesus does not offer sacrifices daily.  He did not offer up sacrifices for His own sins.  He had none!  Nor does He offer up sacrifices for us on a daily basis.  No, Jesus “did this once for all when he offered up himself.”  There is no more sacrifice for sins!

“But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.  The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord.  I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”  Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”  And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.” —Hebrews 10:12-18

Jesus confirms our salvation.  God’s Holy Spirit guarantees our salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14).  None will perish that have been given to Jesus by His Father (John 17:12, 24).  We are safe in His hands… forever!  Praise the Lord! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsQmsEE_2-s

Dear Father I am deeply grateful for all that You have done, are doing and will do for me through Your Son, Jesus.  Thank You for drawing me to Him.  Now, please, help me be sensitive to those You are drawing and desire me to proclaim Your gospel to.  May I do so by the power of Your Holy Spirit and in the authority of Your Son Jesus.  So may it be!
