DON’T BE IN REBELLION AGAINST GOD!
Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the LORD has spoken: “Children have I reared and brought up, but they have rebelled against me.” —Isaiah 1:2

How painful, how grievous it is when God’s creation, the people He created, are rebellious and against Him. I think back to Genesis 6:6-7 where God regretted and was grieved that He made man because of his wicked rebellion against Him. Yet, even during that time, the Lord had a few survivors, Noah and his family, that the human race would continue.
Yet, man continues to rebel against our Lord God Almighty. Man proudly struts their sin and rebelliousness across the stage of this world for all to see, the world our Lord created. No longer do they hide their sin way, but openly practice sin and “also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:32). But the look on their faces bear witness against them and if they do not repent and trust Jesus for forgiveness and salvation, then…
The dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:12-15)
Nobody is getting away with anything. Anyone who does not want the Lord God Almighty will be known by the way they lived. All those who do not call on Jesus will be “thrown into the lake of fire” and is where “the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever (Revelation 20:10). How painful when children rebel against their parents. I know a family where the younger son was, supposedly, was taking care of his dad’s finances. Well, his addictive behavior caused him not to pay the mortgage and his dad did not find this out until the bank called the loan. Another son, when many people had gathered for the house to be auctioned off, said he would pay off the mortgage and fees owed so his dad could stay in his house— which was just over $100,000. Now this same son, who also has addictive behavior, is evicting his dad from his house— knowing the property is valued easily at 10X what he paid. How sad is that! And yet that is what much of mankind has done— they have evicted our Father out of their lives. How grievous! Mankind has brought on themselves the mess we are in. As bad as it might be in this sinful, wicked, fallen world… it does not come close to spending an eternity apart from God. If you are reading this and have not called on Jesus… “I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds” (Acts 26:20). Truly trusting Jesus will result in a transformed life and not just words spoken…
